Autism is not a disease or illness—it is a natural variation in how the brain develops. Many individuals with Autism have unique abilities, perspectives, and talents, and with understanding, acceptance, and appropriate support, they can thrive in their communities.
People with autism may experience differences in:
- Social communication and interaction
- Sensory processing (such as sensitivity to sound, light, or touch)
- Behavior, interests, or routines
